Abstract
In order to solve the blindness problem of steel mesh framed plastic composite pipe in hot tapping construction, firstly, the mechanical analysis on steel framed plastic composite pipe was carried out, the mechanical model of composite pipe was established, and then the pipe section model was meshed. On this basis, finite element simulation was carried out on the maximum tapping diameter of the pipe under different pipe diameters using ANSYS software. Then the Mises equivalent stress distribution nephogram under different tapping diameters was obtained, which could be used to determine the maximum tapping diameter. The results show that the maximum tapping size increases linearly with the pipe diameter. Based on the ANSYS simulation results, no medium leaking from the pipe or obvious plastic deformation under construction condition is found after testing the pipeline tightness. The test results verify the high accuracy of hot tapping model of the steel framed plastic composite pipe, which can effectively solve the blindness problem existing in the field tapping operation.
