Abstract
In order to study the feasibility of the centralized layout of high-and low-pressure flares in the project of LNG receiving terminal, the models for calculating the heat radiation were established for the low-pressure flare burning and the high-and low-pressure flare simultaneous burning respectively by using the software for calculating the heat radiation of flare burning (Flaresim), combined with the flare relieving principle. Then, the variations of the heat radiation and noise in the process of the low-pressure flare burning and the high-and low-pressure flare simultaneous burning were simulated, and the heat radiation and noise of the receptor point were calculated. It is shown that for the receptor point, the heat radiation and noise of the high-and low-pressure flare simultaneous burning are 1.578 kW/m2 and 89.85 dB, respectively, which are in the operators' acceptable range of radiation intensity and noise, indicating the feasibility of the centralized layout of high-and low-pressure flares. The research results provide the design idea for similar reconstruction and extension projects.
