Development trend of the invention patents related to magnetic flux leakage pipeline detection technology around the world

  • Magnetic flux leakage pipeline detection technology is a kind of widely used nondestructive detection technology. To help Chinese enterprises to understand the situation of industry competition more and formulate the layout of intellectual property reasonably, it is particularly important to research the patent information related to magnetic flux leakage detection technology. In the paper, global patent information in the field of magnetic flux leakage pipeline detection technology was searched. The layout and distribution situations of the patents related to magnetic flux leakage pipeline detection technology around the world were analyzed. Patent layout strategies of major countries and main applicants were studied. It is shown that in recent years, the amount of patent applications and publicity in the field of magnetic flux leakage detection technology in China has increased rapidly while the application amount abroad remains relatively stable. The main applicants abroad are all enterprises, while the applicants in China are mainly universities, research institutes, etc. It is indicated that a lot of related research results in China are still in the stage of experimental study and waiting for industrial application.
