Development status and prospect of pipe automatic welding equipment

  • With the construction of high steel grade, large diameter and large wall thickness pipelines and the improvement of operation safety and environmental protection requirements, the traditional manual welding and semi-automatic welding can no longer meet the requirements of construction quality and efficiency, and automatic welding technology begins to be widely popularized and applied. Automatic welding technology is a pipeline construction technology integrating bevel, group and welding together, and it performs the pipe end welding on site by means of hydraulic transmission technology, mechanical manufacturing technology and automatic control technology, combined with the welding process. Its stability in welding quality and welding efficiency is obviously advantageous in the process of stream construction. In this paper, the characteristics of automatic welding technology were introduced systematically, and the development status of domestic and foreign pipe beveling machines, internal welding machines, and automatic welding technology were illustrated, and the development trend of automatic welding equipment in the future was prospected.
