The shear wave velocity testing in the station of China-Russia Eastern Gas Pipeline

  • The shear wave velocity testing is one of the most common and effective in-situ testing technologies, and its research results are conductive to the thorough analysis on the dynamic characteristics of field stratum. To calculate various dynamic parameters of the stratum in the station of China-Russia Eastern Gas Pipeline exactly and quickly, the shear wave velocity testing in the station was analyzed deeply in this paper. Then, various field parameters were calculated systematically, such as type of building site, dynamic shear modulus, dynamic elasticity modulus, field soil liquefaction judgment and the predominant period of site, and the geological situations of the station was reflected accurately. This method is simple, fast and economic and it is of important guiding significance to the geotechnical investigation in the stations of pipeline projects in the future.
