Abstract
In order to study the influencing laws of the profile angle of the slip in the pipeline plugging device on the anchoring performance, a finite element simulation model for the anchoring process of the slip in the plugging device was established based on the theories of material mechanics and elasto-plastic mechanics. The influencing laws of the same profile angles and the rake-relief angle combination on the anchoring performance were investigated by the finite element method. It is shown that when the increase of the rake angle and the decrease of the relief angle are conducted simultaneously in a certain range while the value of profile angle is certain, both the equivalent stress on the slip teeth and the pipe wall and the contact stress amplitude value difference on the pipe wall can be decreased. Thus, the approximate stress concentration in the contact area is alleviated. The research results provide the theoretical basis for the rational selection of slip profile angle. It is of great significance to improve the service life of slips and reduce the damage to the inner wall and the inner coating of the pipeline in the process of plugging.
