Abstract
The China-Myanmar Crude Oil Pipeline runs across 4 international rivers, and it is quite important to study oil spilling control technologies. In this paper, the types and laying modes of oil boom were analyzed. Then, the selection ranges of the freeboard and skirt height of oil boom under different working conditions were put forward, and the methods to calculate the velocity of flow and the max laying angle and stress of oil boom were provided. In addition, multiple oil boom laying schemes were described. In the Nujiang River, the maximum flow velocity in high-water seasons is up to 3.6 m/s and the domestic torrent-type oil booms can only be applicable in low-water seasons and cannot be laid successfully in highwater seasons. Finally, based on the case of oil spilling control in the Nujiang River, the maximum laying angle and stress data of a certain domestic torrent-type oil boom were measured. The research results provide the reference for the studies on oil spilling control technologies used for torrent-type rivers.
