Design of IOT based remote DCS system for oilfield oil pumps

  • In this paper, an IOT (Internet of Things) based remote DCS system for oilfield oil pumps was designed in the hierarchical pattern from the top to the bottom to overcome current measurement and control shortcomings of oilfield oil pumps, such as high labor intensity, long delay in fault handling, low precision of measurement and control, and poor ability of multi-pump coordination. The overall structure of this system includes DCS layer, service layer and extension layer. Firstly, the detailed control structure of the IOT based DCS system in the autonomous region of the station was introduced in detail, and the design contents of its perception layer, network layer and application layer were described specifically. Then, the hardware design of IOT sensor node and coordinator node in DCS layer and the software design of botton program and upper software of the entire system were mainly illustrated. Application practice shows that this IOT based remote DCS system provides a very good measurement & control model and design method for the remote monitoring of oilfield equipments.
