Research progress on the key technologies of integrated compressor for long-distance natural gas pipelines

  • With the rapid development of domestic natural gas storage and transportation business, the reliability of compressor set for natural gas pipelines and its response capacity to abnormal working conditions get more and more important. The integrated compressor can solve many problems of high-speed direct-connected electric driven compressor set, e.g. narrow speed range, frequent faults and continuous emission of oil and gas leading to environment pollution. In this paper, the key parameters of various integrated compressors were analyzed based on the application status of foreign integrated compressors, such as their structures and powers. Then, the characteristics of domestic and foreign integrated compressors were compared, and the key technologies and difficulties involved in the development of integrated compressors were proposed. Finally, referring to the design concept of foreign integrated compressors, the development ideas of integrated compressors for long-distance natural gas pipelines were proposed which are of great significance to improve the reliability of domestic oil and gas pipelines and the manufacturing and processing level of key equipments.
