Operation optimization and energy consumption control of Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline

Abstract
In order to ensure the economic and efficient operation of Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline, its energy consumption is controlled overall by means of simulation, compressor set control and so on. The ABC line simulation model of Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline is established using TGNET, and then corrected periodically by using the actual operational data, so that the error between the simulation result and the actual operation mode is kept in the reasonable range. The flow distribution of the joint operation of ABC line is optimized by means of simulation so as to coordinate the operation of the whole pipeline unifiedly. The line pack control principle is formulated and the line pack amount is supervised and controlled effectively. The pressure of compressor station is controlled according to the simulation results to improve the control and operation efficiency of compressor set. It is practically proved that the operation optimization and energy consumption method used in Trans-Asia Gas pipeline is remarkable in energy saving and consumption reducing.
