The difference analysis on gas pipeline process and automation level between Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline D and Europe & United States

  • In this paper, the differences of natural gas pipeline process and automation level between Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline D and Europe & America were comparatively analyzed from the aspects of design concept, risk assessment, position setting principle, ESD classification, control center function orientation, data sharing with the sections in different countries and the gas source countries so as to improve the process and automation level of Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline D and ensure its safe, smooth and efficient operation. The analysis is based on the inspection suggestions which are proposed on the process and automation level of Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline D by the advanced international consulting corporation ILF. It is indicated that the greatest difference is embodied in the term of design concept. The deviation and solution between the actual value and the design expectancy in the implementation of the 17 subsystems of Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline D are emphatically analyzed. Finally, the corresponding improvement measures and suggestions were put forward. The research results can be used as reference for the improvement of domestic natural gas pipeline process and automation design level.
