Improvement of the regulating methods of pressure regulating system in the transmission station of natural gas pipeline

  • In this paper, regulating methods used for the single pressure regulating system and multiplex pressure regulating system in the transmission stations of natural gas pipelines were improved to overcome the shortcomings of existing regulating methods for the gas users in the transmission stations of natural gas pipelines. To improve the regulating method of single pressure regulating system, the valve position is adjusted so that the flow rate or pressure behind the valve is close to the required valued. And then, the flow rate or pressure is trimmed. To improve the regulating method of multiplex pressure regulating system, the pressure regulating device in one path is set up for automatic regulating to control flow rate and the pressure regulating devices in the other paths are set to manual regulating. By virtue of the improved methods, transmission efficiency is increased and on-site pressure regulating equipments are protected. Finally, a solution was proposed to overcome the deficiency of improved multiplex pressure regulating system. It is recommended to predict the variation trend of inlet and outlet pressures rationally according to the gas distribution law of the users in the upstream and downstream of the station and set an appropriate opening for the regulating valve controlling the valve position to prevent the flow rate from exceeding the set value or avoid insufficient gas supply. The research results are of important engineering guiding significance to regulating the transmission of gas users efficiently.
