Key issues on the crossing survey of China-Russia Eastern Gas Pipeline in Heilongjiang River

The Heilongjiang River crossing project of the China-Russia Eastern Gas Pipeline crosses the border between China and Russia, so its survey faces with many difficulties. In this paper, the survey process for Heilongjiang River shield crossing of China-Russia Eastern Gas Pipeline was introduced, and the main technologies adopted in each step were analyzed briefly. Considering the importance and particularity of this kind of border crossing survey projects, the actual operation was analyzed and reflected. The problems of coordinate selection and construction layout in the process of surveying operation were summarized and the effective solutions are put forward correspondingly. It accumulates the valuable experience for similar border crossing survey projects in the future.
