Industrialized exploitation prospect of combustible ice

In the field of unconventional natural gas development, the exploitation of natural gas hydrate is a worldwide difficulty. At present, over 80 countries and regions are studying combustible ice which is a kind of efficient and clean energy, and some of them have made greater progress. In this paper, the formation and distribution characteristics of combustible ice were introduced briefly. Then, the research status and progress on combustible ice at home and abroad were reviewed. And finally, the rational suggestions on the industrialized development of combustible ice in China were proposed based on the actual situations. Combustible ice, as the new energy prospect, brings the rigorous challenge to the living environment of human beings, in the meantime, so it is necessary to treat the industrialized exploitation of combustible ice very cautiously.
