Abstract
To ensure fairness and justice of natural gas custody transfer, it is necessary to set up a real-time online metering system at distribution substations. The metering system which was constructed at a certain natural gas distribution substation in Xinjiang Oilfield in the early stage cannot satisfy the configuration requirements on the straight pipe section of flowmeter which are stipulated in current national measurement standards, and its metering data make gas settlement and cost accounting difficult. To maximize the economic benefit, the initial technological process was reconstructed by applying the flexible short-pipe installation mode to pipeline arrangement according to related national standards and requirements. Thus, the upper measurement limit of flowmeter is increased and the reduction of flowmeter accuracy caused by front-end pressure fluctuation is avoided. In the process of reconstruction, the initial pipelines, equipments and flowmeters were utilized fully to develop the standby metering pipeline of the distribution substation, so there was no extra cost for equipment procurement and reconstruction and about RMB 115×104 was saved. And besides, it provides the metering space for additional load of the future customers.
