Abstract
The imported pipe burst protection devices for long-distance gas pipelines are disadvantageous with high power consumption, high cost, more faulty shut-off operations and long order cycle of spare parts. To deal with this situation, a set of localized pipe burst protection device was developed by performing localized pilot improvement from the aspects of data storage, power-off protection and energy consumption control and etc. Its overall hardware framework is composed of analog input circuit, digital input circuit, power and charge control circuit, digital output circuit, signal processing and storage circuit, and communication circuit. The software iar embedded workbench for msp430 of IAR Company is adopted and C language is used for programming. This localized pipe burst protection device has the functions of power charge, data acquisition, calculation, alarm grading mechanism, event log, automatic valve shutoff, display, communication and so on. It is indicated from the actual engineering test that this localized pipe burst protection device can substitute completely for the imported devices in terms of technology and performance and its purchase cost is low, so it is worth popularizing.
