Engineering management model for long-distance pipeline construction project cluster

  • Long-distance pipeline project is characterized by multiple points, long line and numerous construction personnel and equipment, so it is in urgent need to implement the construction project efficiently in high quality by making full use of limited resources. In this paper, an engineering management model for long-distance pipeline construction was established from three dimensions (i.e., resource, technology and management) by applying project management and management theory comprehensively from the perspective of project cluster and engineering management. With this model, management elements are optimized by carrying out collaborative organization and large flow construction, resource elements are assembled by allocating internal and external resources of the project department in a centralized way, and technical elements are standardized by standardizing construction technologies and innovating key technologies cooperatively. Practical application shows that the engineering management model is an effective method to increase the qualification rate of engineering quality, decrease the construction cost and improve the management efficiency significantly. It plays a reference role in solving the similar project cluster management with the same type, quality, structure and time.
