Development status and trend of global oil and gas pipelines

  • At present, the global economy overall slows down. Due to the effect of imbalanced oil and gas supply and demand and international political and economic games, oil price drops sharply and the development of oil and gas industry is at trough stage. Investment for high-cost oil and gas exploration and development projects decreases. In order to understand the development status and trend of oil and gas pipeline construction in the new international setting of oil and gas industry development, the global operation status of existing oil and gas pipelines and the construction situations of new pipelines, especially construction dynamics of key pipelines, were summarized by analyzing energy structure development trends and regional energy development strategy. It is indicated that the development trend of oil and gas pipeline construction in the future will follow the trend of energy import and export channel expansion, high-cost risk investment reduction, overall decreasing of pipeline construction investment and steady growth of gas pipeline construction. Therefore, the effects of global oil and gas pipeline construction situations and development trend on China's oil and gas pipeline development were discussed deeply.
