Long-distance pipeline process design workflow based on geographic information

  • To promote engineering design and data management for pipelines, the international software, such as ArcGIS and Synergi Gas were used in combination with pipeline geographic information and process simulation to integrate geographic information data and process software to develop workflows for pipeline design with enhanced efficiency and accuracy through data exchange. Research results show that pipeline models with integration of geographic information software and process software can not only promote the accuracy of data and analysis results through data management, but also facilitate analysis for gas-transmission processes. Workflows with integration of geographic information and process analysis systems shall be promoted in design planning and management for large-scale pipeline networks to provide necessary supports for decision in future pipeline construction.
