Calculation and analysis on landslide hazard pre-warning standard for Shaanxi-Beijing Pipeline

  • In order to develop the landslide hazard pre-warning technology for Shaanxi-Beijing Pipeline, a typical sliding mass in the study area was selected as the study object and the monitoring method for geological hazard along pipelines was taken as the theoretical basis. Firstly, the geological hazard spot was comprehensively investigated in terms of development situation, typicality, threat degree to pipeline, and equipment preservation safety. Secondly, the monitoring program was designed and the integrated specialized monitoring equipment was installed to collect the monitoring data, e.g. rainfall, surface crack displacement of landslide and its deep displacement. The analysis on the monitoring data shows that the sliding mass is stable as a whole with little deformation and poses no threat to the safety of the pipeline tunnel. Pre-warning analysis indicates that in the state of no rain, the sliding mass is the most stable with the least maximum displacement. With the increasing of rainfall, the stability of the sliding mass declines and its maximum displacement increases in the form of fracture increase. And finally, 80% of the displacement values in three kinds of working conditions were taken respectively as the pre-warning standard values in order to obtain a pre-warning deformation, and pre-warning standard displacement was determined based on different grades.
