Abstract
An ice zone is different from normal water environments, such as oceans, seas and rivers. It is difficult to carry out modeling and calculation on oil spill in ice zones by using the same model as the one used for normal water environments. In order to predict the behaviors and destinations of spilled oil in ice zones and reduce its environmental pollution and hazard, an environmental impact evaluation model was systematically established for the spilled oil in ice zones in different environments based on the characteristics of water environment and overflow in ice zones by means of ice density threshold method. Then, the model was applied to the water site of an actual ice zone. The environmental impact evaluation and calculation software for ice zones was developed. The software is composed of user input interface, control module, data processing module, and system operation and display module. Finally, a specific example was illustrated. This study is aimed at providing technical supports for the emergency disposal of oil spill in ice zones.
