Evaluation on the gathering pipeline route based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and group decision-making

  • In China, oil and gas gathering pipeline construction is often challenged by route selection and evaluation. Through theoretical feasibility analysis on the pipeline route evaluation and based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and group decision-making, the influencing factors for a gas trunk line route scheme in Sichuan Province are classified and analyzed. The target hierarchy structure model of comprehensive assessment system for route selection is established; combined with mathematical analysis, the weights of 9 basic indexes on the whole route evaluation system is determined. In the end, the quantitative evaluation results of 3 alternative schemes are given and the optimal route scheme is chosen, which is in agreement with the actual experts' opinion. This example proves that AHP and group decision-making can not only evaluate the candidate route scheme in detail and objectively to provide quantitative evaluation result, but also are simple in calculation and economical and practical which can provide feasible method and theoretical foundation for the evaluation and decision-making of China's gathering pipeline route scheme.
