Abstract
As to the pricing of natural gas pipeline transmission in China, the traditional calculation model of pipeline transmission fee is used to diagnose and analyze the data of the 2nd West-to-East Gas Pipeline. The defects and weaknesses of traditional pricing methods that take the pipeline transmission distance as a single variable are identified. It is pointed out that the pipeline transmission fee is mainly decided by the calculation of composite throughput. To this end, taking the complex West-to-East Gas Pipeline network as an example, a reasonable calculation model of composite throughput is established. The average transmission distance of each station within the network is estimated. Then, the formula of transmission price to transmission distance ratio is adopted to determine the transportation fee of each site. Through the calculation example, it is revealed that the model based on composite throughput is more feasible subject to the current pipeline transportation market price. This study provides a reference for the estimation of pipeline network transportation fees in China, and is helpful to improve China's natural gas pipeline pricing mechanism and ensure the healthy and orderly development of China's natural gas industry.
