Analysis on long-term operation and interval optimization of pressure for single cavity injection/production in underground salt cavern gas storage-Taking the cavity of Well Xi-2 in salt cavern gas storage in Jintan as an example

  • Gas storage in Jintan salt cavern for West-to-East gas transmission project is constructed in laminar salt layer with complicated geological conditions, which costs a lot and has a certain service life. Therefore, under the premise of ensuring safe and stable operation of the cavity, it is of great importance to increase the gas production. Taking the old Well Xi-2 in salt mine of gas storage in Jintan cavern for West-to-East gas transmission project as an example, it is found through the comparative analysis of sonar data that there are some benefit waste under the current mode of injection/production, so the approach of numerical simulation is used to verify and check the creep parameters of rock salt. And the corrected parameters are used to optimize the injection/production minimum pressure and maximum pressure, so as to increase the working gas production of single cavity and improve the economic benefit.
