Current status and prospect of steady operation optimization techniques for gas pipeline network

Abstract
With fast development in centralized control and network operations of gas pipelines, the steady operation optimization techniques for gas pipeline network will play important roles in operation efficiency enhancement, energy conservation, emission reduction and other aspects. This paper reviews current status of existing steady operation optimization techniques for gas pipeline network and clarifies specific features and application of major optimization software products in China and abroad. In addition, this paper gives the solutions for major non-linear steady operation optimization models developed for gas pipeline network. With consideration to constraints in application of steady operation optimization techniques, prospects for future development of such techniques are proposed. The research results may provide necessary guidance for development of operation optimization techniques for gas pipeline network.
