Abstract
This paper reviewed the availability of training device for assembly-type oil pipes to perform quantitative simulation of long-distance oil pipes. In addition to reviewing principles for simulation of leaking by using the training device, the simulation models have been developed. By using simulation software specifically developed for assembly-type oil pipes, changes in operational parameters of true pipes and training device have been simulated for leaking areas of 11.82 cm2(23.5%), 33.5 cm2(66.6%) and 50.27 cm2(100%), respectively. Relevant research results show that the training device can be used to perform quantitative simulation of changes in outlet pressures of pump stations and changes in flow rates after leakage. Generally speaking, changes of operation parameters of true pipes in case of different leakages coincided well with those of the training device. It was determined that the training device can be used to perform quantitative simulation of changes in hydraulic features in case of leakage.
