Abstract
As the pressure drop rate of line block valve for long-distance gas pipeline in China is mainly set based on the empirical value at home and abroad, there are such problems as non-specificity and large errors. The SPS software is used to establish the long-distance gas pipeline model for simulating the pipeline burst (a typical leakage case). In this way, the change and transmission rules of pressure wave are quantitatively and qualitatively analyzed, and the criteria and precautions for selection of set-value of pressure drop rate of line block valve shutdown are investigated. The simulation results indicate that, to select proper pressure drop rate for shutdown, the information on pipeline incidents should be understood and acquired, and then appropriate leakage points should be selected for analysis, so that the proper threshold value for reference can be worked out.
