Causes of oil and gas pipeline incidents in China and environmental precautions

Environmental pollution as a result of oil and gas leakage is a challenge in the pipeline industry that needs prompt solution. According to the current situation and causes of environmental pollution throughout planning, construction and operation of pipelines, it is suggested that sophisticated precautions be developed in accordance with the HSE Management System and "Pipeline Protection Law", including improving pipeline planning, ensuring scientific and sound construction, adopting corresponding operation protection methods, enhancing the risk prevention awareness of management personnel, and raising the quality and capability of operation personnel. Finally, some rational advices are provided for reference by relevant departments.
