Load imbalance of Jingxi Natural Gas Pipeline and relevant solutions

  • With the rapid expansion of the natural gas industry in Shaanxi Province, the contradiction between supply and demand for Jingxi Natural Gas Pipeline has become increasingly prominent. Its high load imbalance is not conducive to the smooth and efficient gas transmission. Therefore, through identifying the downstream gas consumption features of Jingxi Natural Gas Pipeline, four main factors influencing the annual load of the pipeline are obtained by the correlation analysis method. Moreover, the monthly imbalance coefficient is imported to analyze the monthly loads of Jingxi Natural Gas Pipeline in recent years; according to the supply and demand balance method, the supply and demand situation of Jingxi Natural Gas Pipeline is analyzed. The results show that the Jingxi Natural Gas Pipeline demonstrates annual imbalance of supply and demand and especially seasonal imbalance due to unreasonable gas consumption structure. This paper hereby proposes that: (1) the annual imbalance of Jingxi Natural Gas Pipeline is addressed through vigorously developing the market and promoting the strategy of "Shaanxi gasification" and other livelihood projects; and (2) the seasonal imbalance of load imbalance of Jingxi Natural Gas Pipeline is relieved by constructing the LNG peak shaving plant.
