GIS extension in regulation application of oil and gas pipeline SCADA system

  • Based on the service-oriented architecture (SOA) integrated service bus and object-oriented pipeline model technology, an open and interconnected oil and gas pipeline SCADA system software is built, and a data communication mechanism of GIS and SCADA system is designed in respect of the system architecture. With the GIS spatial analysis and the computation of SCADA regulation, the main parameters, pipeline information and equipment operation status are dynamically monitored in the whole process of oil and gas storage, transportation and operation. The GIS can be used to get the whole picture of oil and gas pipelines operation, extend the application of regulation of oil and gas pipeline and realize the leak analysis and emergency response.
