Influence of NPZ on the electrical property of wax crystals

  • In order to identify the action mechanism of NPZ organic and inorganic Nano-hybrid-material based pour point depressant (PPD) on high waxy crude oil, the surface charge and law of motion and aggregation of wax crystal particles in Daqing Crude Oil with NPZ are discussed by Zeta potential technology in this paper. The results show that the Zeta potential of wax crystals in Daqing Crude Oil with NPZ is obviously higher than that with EVA and without any PPD. By adding NPZ to Daqing Crude Oil, the wax crystals become smaller and cannot accumulate easily to form three-dimensional grid, which makes Daqing Crude Oil have good low-temperature flow properties. It also proves that in the action mechanism of NPZ on waxy crude oil, adsorption plays the leading role.
