Current situation and outlook of oil and gas pipeline network simulation technology

  • As modern oil and gas pipeline network evolves rapidly, pipeline simulation technology has developed significantly, and it may play a more and more important role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of pipeline network. Therefore, this paper investigates the development of pipeline network simulation technology in China and abroad, and analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of foreign simulation software products. Moreover, it introduces the dynamics of simulation technology in China, particularly RealPipe which leads the great-leap-forward development of domestic oil and gas pipeline network simulation technology. As to the emerging demands along with the pipeline network development, it puts forward several prospects of the future development and application of simulation technology, which is helpful for driving the upgrading and updating of simulation software products in function and performance, and is of certain guiding significance to the development of simulation technology.
