Abstract
Hydrate dissociation mechanism is the key of research on inhibiting the formation of hydrate ice blockage in the oil and gas pipeline flowing system, deepening the hydrate production, applying hydrate as a medium for gas storage and transportation and gas purification and separation, and using the hydrate slurry to transmit gas. Based on worldwide experimental and theoretical researches on hydrate dissociation, this paper systematically overviews the progress of experiments and models of hydrate dissociation in the flowing system. Through observation, hydrate dissociation is found as a time-dependent endothermic process and controlled by kinetics, mass, heat transfer and other factors. The impacts of hydrate particle size, chemical agent, temperature, pressure and gas composition on the rate of hydrate dissociation are concluded. Generally, the hydrate dissociation theoretical model is rarely used for the flowing system, and the models considering kinetics, mass and heat transfer need to be improved. Therefore, this paper proposes the direction and recommendations of future hydrate dissociation researches.
