Comparative analysis on the pipeline control chamber between Chinese and American management standards

The standards for construction, operational control, anti-explosion design in China are more mature compared with management standard which has to be further improved. Comparing key technologies in management standards of Chinese pipeline control chamber with those of American shows that the American management standards are more system and perfect in the following aspects, that is, American standard defines clear pipeline control and shift schedule terms, provisions on personnel responsibilities and change management of the pipeline control room are more strict and thorough, and practitioner qualification standard and personnel fatigue risk management system of oil and gas pipeline are established, etc. For this purpose, suggestions to enhance operation management level of oil and gas pipeline for China are put forward by borrowing the advanced pipeline control chamber standard of America.
