Research and application of water-based wax remover and inhibitor YE-60

  • High wax content in crude oil of BZ25-1 Oilfield cause serious wax deposition on C platform wells which call for frequent wax removal work. For this reason, a kind of non-ionic surfactant water-based wax remover and inhibitor YE-60 has been developed. Firstly, YE-type ether is made by synthesis reaction, the synthesis conditions are as follows, ethanol, polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene ether, amido polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene multi-block ether of 1:1.25:1.25, amount of catalyst of 1.98% mass fraction of total monomer, reaction temperature at 75℃, reaction time of 3 hr, and then, YE-type alcohol is formulated with glycol ether penetrant at a certain mass ratio to obtain the final product YE-60. At the 100 mg/L dosage, wax inhibiting rate of YE-60 for BZ25-1 oilfield sample reaches up to 74.5%, wax removing rate reaches up to 64.1%, and after application, the cycles in pump checking and wax removal extend to 3 times longer of that before the inhibitor application. The result proves that the inhibitor has remarkable wax inhibiting and removing effect and should be promoted widely.
