Comparison of installation and operation modes of compressors in Yulin Compressor Station of Shaanxi-Beijing Gas Pipeline

  • As the power equipment of natural gas transmission, compressor unit is the heart of gas pipeline. The safety and economy of gas pipeline operation depend on the reliability and performance of compressor unit to a large extent. As the most common driving models used in long-distance pipeline, gas turbine driving centrifugal compressors and frequency conversion motor driving centrifugal compressors are increasingly applied to actual operation in compressor stations. According to the actual operation situation in Yulin Compressor Station, the reliability and operation efficiency of these two kinds of units are compared, the advantages, disadvantages and adaptability of gas turbine driving units and motor driving units in pipeline application are also analyzed. The disadvantages of these two kinds of units are compensated by networking joint-control configuration, which not only improves the operation efficiency of units, but also plays an important role in the safe and efficient operation of gas pipelines, and is also instructive for optimizing compressor operation management of long-distance pipelines.
