Advancement and application measures of pipeline integrity assessment technology

  • Pipeline integrity assessment technology is comprehensively discussed in this paper. Pipeline integrity assessment system mainly includes baseline assessment, pressure testing assessment, defect applicability assessment, complex section pipeline assessment, safety assessment of pipeline operation, external corrosion direct assessment (ECDA), internal corrosion direct assessment (ICDA), stress corrosion direct assessment (SCCDA) and so on. Station integrity assessment system mainly includes leakage and reliability assessment for static equipment and state monitoring and fault diagnosis assessment for rotational equipments, specifically risk assessment technology, corrosion detection and protection and operation safety assessment for stations. In line with pipeline system integrity assessment technology, the applicable scopes of different assessment methods are proposed. Pipeline integrity assessment technology is mainly about the process and application of integrity assessment technology for complex areas and sections, such as integrity assessment and application of parallel sections, stress corrosion assessment, region upgrade safety assessment, gas blasting test integrity assessment for high grade large diameter full-size pipeline and so on. Station integrity assessment technology mainly introduces the development and achievements of technologies such as the comprehensive test of process pipeline in stations, wear and life analysis of valves, troubleshooting of compressors. Current problems in pipeline integrity assessment are comprehensively analyzed, and further development direction and management measures are also proposed.
