Feasibility of recovering vent gas from gas compressor station into gas storage well

  • With the continuous construction of gas pipeline, the volume of vent gas from gas compressor station is increasing, which leads to serious waste of resources and environment pollution. Combining with the technical process of gas compressor station and taking into account the characteristics such as large volume and multiple times of planned gas venting and low limitation of time, this paper proposes a vent gas recovery process from gas compressor station with underground gas storage well as a core. Gas storage wells should be built at proper positions in the gas compressor station. And based on the characteristic of gas flowing from high pressure to low pressure, the gas pressure itself can lead the high-pressure vent gas to the low-pressure gas storage well for storage and recovery. The main facilities in the gas recovery station include two gas storage wells and other related pipes and valves. The application of this technology in a gas compressor station shows that this method has advantages such as high safety, small floor area, reasonable layout of equipment and high economic profit, which can avoid the waste of resources and save energy and reduce emission at the same time, and therefore is worthy of further research and popularization.
