Analysis and calculation of suspension and cable overhead crossing structure for prefabricated oil pipeline

  • The purpose of laying suspension and cable overhead crossing structure for prefabricated oil pipeline is to ensure that the oil pipe can get through terrains with complicated geological conditions. Conventional overhead crossing structure involves in laying the pipe on a completed bridge, the overhead crossing structure presented in this paper doesn't need to build a bridge, and only to hang the prefabricated oil pipe by hanger rod on several parallel carrying cables. By researching the cable-suspended structure with a span of 120 m, the maximum angle allowed at the joint of prefabricated oil pipe is worked out, the effects of relative elevation between two sides on angle of pipe joint is discussed, and the maximum relative elevation allowed for the structure is calculated. The structure as a temporary pipe has such advantages like fast laying, easy dismount, convenient transportation, can meet the demand of mobile oil transportation across river or canyon, which can be a reference to the overhead crossing construction of oil pipe.
