Energy-saving monitoring of energy-consuming equipments in oil and gas pipeline transportation systems during China's 11th Five-Year Plan

  • During China's 11th Five-Year Plan, the average operation efficiency of major energy-consuming equipments(pumps, heaters and compressors) in long-distance pipeline systems presents a rising trend year by year. The efficiency ofoil pump units rose from 63.29% in 2006 to 68.55% in 2010. The thermal efficiency of heaters rose from 83.58% in 2006to 86.86% in 2010. Energy-saving monitoring gives us insight into the effects of energy-saving management and measures.Aiming at the major pieces of equipments, including pumps, heaters and compressors, the current situation, operationefficiency and qualified rate of monitored equipments are introduced in this paper. By summarizing and analyzing theenergy-saving monitoring results, the common problems of major energy-consuming equipments during operation and thecorresponding suggestions and measures were proposed, which will promote the improvement of equipments operation leveland facilitate energy saving during China's 12th Five-Year Plan in a targeted manner.
