Controlled combustion for oil leak emergency treatment

  • Leaked oil flowing into water will lead to water pollution. To some extent, the treatment methods for leakedoil determine the degree of property damage and the impact on ecological environment. Controlled combustion is widelyapplied in emergency treatment for oil leak abroad. This paper introduces the process, conditions and processing capacityof controlled combustion, also compares the differences in standard specifications for controlled combustion at homeand abroad, then proposes the requirement for reinforcing the research and development of controlled combustion andcompletion of standard system, finally compiles the flow diagram of controlled combustion according to the experience inthis technology at home and abroad, providing a reference to the implementation of controlled combustion when oil leaksinto water in China.
