Hydrate prevention process for single well gas fow line in Dalaoba Condensate Gasfeld

  • In winter production, gas fow lines in Dalaoba condensate gasfeld are suffered hydrate blockage due to low temperature, threatening the production safety seriously. According to the hydrate blockage and the present prevention process of single well gas fow line in Dalaoba Condensate Gasfeld, Hydrate Version 5.3 software is used to predict the hydrate formation temperature and optimize the hydrate prevention process. The results indicate that under the operating pressure of 6 MPa, the actual formation temperature of hydrate in winter is 16.715℃, lower than the predicted one and hydrate is especially apt to form in the riser in wellhead of Christmas trees and the elbow of production pipeline. By adding methanol with volume concentration from 10% to 15%, the predicted hydrate formation temperature is 10.11 to 12.68 ℃. The application of intermediate frequency induction heating in Well DLK6 shows that when the input current is 20 A, temperature of fow medium at the end of heating pipeline is 18.7 ℃, higher than the predicted hydrate formation temperature 16.715 ℃. Either adding methanol or application of intermediate frequency induction can prevent the formation of hydrate effectively.
