Energy consumption calculation and test method for desulfurization unit in gas processing plant

  • Desulfurization unit is a piece of high energy-consuming equipment in gas processing plant. By far, there is nosystematic way to calculate and test the energy consumption of the desulfurization unit in gas processing plant in oil and gasindustry of China. Hence, an energy consumption calculation and test method for desulfurization unit is proposed here. Thetest indexes of desulfurization unit mainly include power consumption, power consumption of unit gas processing, efficiencyof MDEA lean/rich solution heat exchanger, energy recovery rate of MDEA lean solution, efficiency of MDEA circulatingpump and acidizing fluid reflux pump units, reboiler heat consumption and heat consumption for the processing of unitgas. According to the energy consumption calculation method for desulfurization unit, test method for it is designed, whichincludes the arrangement of measuring points, test objects, test items, test instruments and so on. With these methods, theenergy consumption of the desulfurization units in three gas purification plants of the first gas production plant of ChangqingOilfield is calculated and analyzed. The results indicate that the calculation and test method can reflect the energy efficiencylevel of the desulfurization unit accurately, and provide theoretical basis and technical guide to the test and calculation ofenergy consumption of desulfurization unit.
