Gas supply program for pipeline network with multiple gas sources

  • In order to improve the reliability and security of gas supply of pipeline network, a new blended transmissionpattern with multiple sources connected into a trans-regional, large blended transmission pipeline network is taking shapegradually. Because of differences in gas qualities from various sources and differences in supply forms, different sensitivityof downstream users to the heating value fluctuations, and different prices for downstream users, a reasonable gas supplyprogram for blended transmission pipeline network is in urgent need to balance the profits of urban pipeline company andend-users. Based on a dynamic simulation platform for blended transmission pipeline network developed by BP-LNG centerof Sun Yat-sen University, the simulation of a city's blended transmission pipeline network is carried out, to compare theseparated-transmission pipeline network program and multi-gas sources allocation program. By simulating downstream endusers'response to the dynamic heating value in these two programs, the paper analyzes the impact of fluctuating of heatingvalue/wobbe index on downstream end-users, as well as corresponding match of various downstream users with differentheating value gas sources.
