Acquisition of completion survey data for digitized pipeline during construction

  • Completion survey data acquisition is the focus of the construction management for digitized pipeline. A digitized pipeline under construction in the northwest is taken as an example to state completion survey data collection methods, survdy result quality control and application results. Data acquisition methods during the pipeline construction include reckoning method, geometric method and RTK survey method, of which the RTK survey method has become the primary method used for completion survey data acquisition of digitized pipelines due to its high accuracy, timeliness and high efficiency. Survey result quality control methods mainly include repeatedly checking survey, arranging convenient control points, collecting precise survey information and checking survey information by means of a GIS system. Application results of the example have shown that data acquisition method during the pipeline construction can ensure true and accurate data of pipeline completion survey result table and play four major roles, that is, assisting preparation of as-built drawings to reduce workloads, facilitating preparation of completion data and ensuring consistency with the as-built drawing data, and providing technical support during pipeline operation.
