The stress analysis of tunnel gas pipeline under operating situation

  • The stress concentration easily occurs in bend pipe in tunnel and thus causes pipeline failure. This paper determines the boundary conditions of tunnel gas pipeline, such as the load under operating conditions, support constraints, etc. and for a tunnel crossing pipeline, it is necessary to establish a operating condition's stress analysis model to make stress analysis with software CAESAR Ⅱ and carry out a stress distribution, and clarify the key point location of stress concentration. The analysis results show that the internal pressure of the pipeline is a primary factor that causes pipeline stress, and temperature and pipeline weight are secondary factors. The proposed stress analysis method will be of certain reference significance for tunnel pipeline.
