Remote monitoring on oil and gas pipelines with satellite Internet of Things network

  • To meet the actual needs of the safe production of oil and gas fields, especially high-sulfur gas fields, satellite Internet of Things is established with plough satellite positioning and short message transmission function as well as the data transmission function of Chinese communications satellite, realizing transportation management, security protection and emergency rescue of oil and gas pipelines. This system has an automatic reporting function in pipeline production data and running condition and is able to realize video monitoring and telephone communication to obtain the accurate location of pipeline in failures or to be in failure in the case of complex geographical environment or unexpected geological disasters, as well as the interruption of public and private communications networks, providing reliable data for the organization of the emergency rescue, and enhance the mobility and flexibility of incident handling.
