Operation and management of anti-surge system of compressor in gas pipeline

Take one of compressor set in the 1st West-to-East Gas Pipeline, this article describes the anti-surge principle, constitution of antisurgesystem and determination method for anti-surge curve for the compressor used in gas pipeline. Technical items for the newly-builtcompressor station involved in operation and management about installation and test of anti-surge valve, analysis and disposal for commonfailure of anti-surge system, start-up and shut-down of compressor and the issues about changing running conditions to be noticed foroperators are discussed. It is considered that the research results can be used as a base for the application of anti-surge system in compressorset in gas pipeline.
