Applications of improved fuzzy AHP in program optimization of pipeline crossing project

  • Main alternatives of current pipeline crossing project are described, including buried laying, tunnel construction and directional drillingconstruction, etc. In view of shortcomings of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) used for program optimization, the concept of fuzzyconsistent matrix is introduced and research results of fuzzy mathematics are used to extend AHP to a fuzzy environment, and the improvedfuzzy analytic hierarchy process is proposed so as to solve cumbersome general scale, difficult judgment of matrix consistency and otherproblems of the AHP. The principle and implementation steps of the method are described. Based on a project case, the optimal crossingprogram is determined and the feasibility and advantages of this method are verified. Due to simple operations and easy programming, thismethod can be applied and promoted.
