Simulation analysis of structural vibration sound radiation of oil and gas pipeline

  • In view of pipeline fatigue failure and radiation noise caused by the coupling between fluids and structure of oil and gas pipeline, a finiteelement method is used to analyze fluid structure interaction vibration performance in order to obtain natural vibration frequency, andvibration mode and impacts of the fluid structure interaction on the natural vibration frequency of the oil and gas pipeline is analyzed.Harmonic response analysis is made using ANSYS software to obtain displacement, velocity, acceleration and other parameters of pipelinevibration under harmonic excitation. Displacement data obtained from the harmonic response analysis is introduced into the acousticssoftware LMS Virtual. Lab to get the radiation sound field of pipeline vibration based on simulation by the indirect boundary element methodso as to build a pipeline vibration sound radiation model. The results show that for the radius-thickness ratio, if fluid-structure interactioneffect is considered or not as well as pipeline forms lay varying degrees of impacts on the natural frequency of the pipeline. When the wallthickness of pipeline with different radius-thickness ratios is smaller, the sound radiation pressure will be larger. Simulation analysis ofstructural vibration sound radiation of oil and gas pipeline can provide a reference to the pipeline radiated noise control and pipeline structure optimization.
